What is the Gospel?

The Gospel

God is the loving Creator & Ruler.

"You are worthy, Our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."
(Rev. 4:11)

We sinfully reject his good rule.

"There is no one righteous, not even one: there is no one who understands,
no one who seeks God. All have turned away."
(Rom. 3:10-12)

You will never be good enough for heaven.

"He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness..."
(Titus 3:5)

Our punishment for sin is death and hell.

"Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment."
(Heb. 9:27)

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
(Rom. 6:23)

God, in His love sent Jesus to die in our place.

"Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God."
(1 Pet.3:18)

"For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin,
so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."
(2 Cor. 5:21)

Jesus rose from the dead and gives new life as a free gift.

"In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living
hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."
(1 Pet. 1:3)

There is no other religious figure, prophet or teacher
who can truly offer forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

"And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other
name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
(Acts 4:12)

In order to receive this free gift, repent and
believe the good news of Jesus and you will be saved.

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life,
but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."
(Jn. 3:36)
